ALEF Selects Its Twenty-first Class of Fellows
The Appalachian Leadership and Education Foundation (ALEF) has completed its selection process for the 2026 ALEF Uniform Class. This is the twenty-first year that ALEF has put together a group of young men and women from West Virginia who have extraordinary leadership, academic, and social skills and who have great potential to be the leaders in our communities, in government, and in our businesses. Each new Fellow exhibits the core values ALEF espouses – integrity, excellence, and service.

 Morganne Miller is from Wardensville, WV, and graduated from East Hardy High School. She will attend Shepherd University and major in Biology. She was a member of the National Honor Society, the Volleyball, Wrestling, and Track teams. She was also involved with Student Council and was President of the Student Government. Morganne was very active in numerous community service activities and graduated first in her class.
Emily Porter will attend Marshall University and major in Public Administration. She attended Logan High School and is from Holden, WV. She was the senior class President. Emily was a member of the National Honor Society, the National English Honor Society, and was Secretary of the West Virginia Beta Club. Emily had excellent grades.
Bonnie Ray is from Oak Hill, WV, and will attend Concord University. She graduated from Oak Hill High School and will major in Biology. Bonnie was a member of the National Honor Society and participated in several community volunteer activities. She had outstanding grades.
Aiden Rimmer graduated from Logan High School and will attend Marshall University. He is from Williamson, WV, and will major in Nursing. Aiden was a member of the National Honor Society, the Beta Club, and the Math Honor Society. He won numerous awards and was very active in numerous community service activities. Aiden was second in his class with excellent grades.
Madilyn Sparks is from Logan, WV, and graduated from Logan High School. She will attend Marshall University and major in Communication Sciences. Madilyn was President of the National Honor Society, and was active in the Beta Club, the English Honor Society, the Math Honor Society, and the Science Honor Society. She won numerous awards and had excellent grades.
Tobias Warfield graduated from Spring Mills High School and is from Martinsburg, WV. He will attend West Virginia University and major in Aerospace Engineering. He was Captain of both the Track and Cross Country Teams and a member of the National Honor Society. Tobias is an Eagle Scout. He was very active in community service and had excellent grades.
